Hiking in Scotland

As its the furthest point from the lads home territory of Devon and Cornwall, Scotland is the least explored as of yet, but there will be more adventures to follow in this vast and mountainous region.

So far, however, its the final of the 3 Peaks ticked off, Scotlands tallest mountain (and the tallest mountain in the UK for that matter) Ben Nevis.

1. BEN NEVIS MOUNTAIN HIKE

Not even three years in, and the third and final of the UK's big three, Ben Nevis, (Scotlands tallest mountain) is finally getting summited y Summit or Nothing, marking the end of their initial challenge.

After bunking at the Ben Nevis Inn at Achintree, just East of Fort William, and after much deliberation on route and what gear to take, the lads finally set off up the Tourist Path to zig zag their way up to the top.

Conditions are ok, a bit overcast, but not too breezy, the cloud actually seems to rise for the lads, keeping them out of the clouds all the way up to the summit.

Trev's coastal walking must have paid off by now, as this mountain seemed a breeze and the lads practically skipped up it. A bit of a dubious short cut actually became the hardest part of the day as the lads carved their way up some slippery shillety terrain for a brief stint.

On the way down, engulfed in clouds, the pair eventually break through to witness a mountainside helicopter rescue.
